Agency Overview
Evergreen Children’s Services was founded in 1986 by a board of community leaders committed to supporting and maintaining children in families rather than residential care.
Evergreen has historically served children who have been abused or neglected. However, over the years, our program scope has grown to include children who are developmentally disabled, delinquent youth and several other underserved populations. The agency takes great pride in our success with these difficult populations and has made tremendous efforts to offer services not provided by other agencies.
Mission Statement
Evergreen Children’s Services is founded on the fundamental belief that all children and youth, including those with serious problems can be successful in families and in the community. Evergreen Children’s Services offers a range of services toward making that principle a reality for the children and youth the agency serves.
Our Goal
Evergreen Children’s Services' goal is to improve the lives and conditions of children and their families and to help them become productive, contributing members of society through the support of our programs.
We strive to be the strongest possible advocate for their well being and to seek solutions for their problems; to bring about family reunification, but when that is not possible, to place them in a permanent safe environment through adoption.
We educate and raise the awareness of the community regarding child abuse and neglect. We believe that the highest priority in all our activities and services is to protect children from injury, harm and derivation, and that all children have the right to live in a permanent and nurturing environment.
