P.A.R.T. Program (Post Adoption Respite Treatment) |
Evergreen Children's Services' Post Adoption Respite Treatment (P.A.R.T.) Program offers a comprehensive service model that focuses on preventing long term, out of home placements of special needs adoptive children. P.A.R.T. provides adoptive families with short term out-of-home care, in-home treatment aide services, parent/child support groups, and community resource information. |
Short Term Out of Home Care: Evergreen's P.A.R.T. program provides temporary relief for adoptive families by placing
children in licensed, specialized foster homes. The temporary out-of-home
placement allows the child and adoptive parent time to gather their resources
to help the whole family reunite. During this time, an in-home treatment aide
is assigned to help develop a treatment plan and to help the child transition back
into the adoptive home. |
In-Home Treatment Aide Services:The P.A.R.T. program provides in-home treatment aides to help the parent and the
child with behavior modification and parenting skills. The in-home treatment aide
works directly with the child in the adoptive home setting (or in the temporary
specialized foster home when applicable), implementing a behavioral program
and working on specific goals. |
Support Groups: Evergreen Children's Services provides support services for adoptive children and
their families. This service is made up of three support groups; the adoptive
parent support group, the adoptive children's support group and the adoptive pre-teen/teen support
group. They are open-ended, ongoing groups that allow adoptive families to meet
with peers and provide support for each other. |
Community Resource: Evergreen Children's Services is a member of the I-CARE Service Network and through
this membership we are in contact with many community resources throughout Wayne
and neighboring counties. We provide resource access and information to help
meet our families' needs. |
Program Referrals: Referrals to this program are accepted from the I-CARE Network, private agencies,
and private therapists for children who are medical subsidy eligible. Clients
must be between the ages of three and seventeen years and able to function in a
specialized family setting. |
